This lovely two bedroom apartment (top floor with balcony) is located in Les Praz Chamonix, a beautiful, typically alpine part of town that is still only a 15 minute walk to  the lively centre with its fantastic restaurants, shops and nightlife. Taking up the top floor of a traditional mountain-house it provides the wonderful chalet feeling the region is famous for. The huge south facing balcony has stunning views of the foot of Les Drus (3754m), L’Aiguille Verte (4122m), L’Aiguille du Midi (3842m) and, most importantly, Mont Blanc (4810m). The garage has space for one car and can be used to store skis or other equipment.

The closest lift is the Flégère cable car and Index lift, just a 10 minute walk away, which offers access to south facing, sunny slopes and is connected to the Brévent area, from which you can ski all the way down to the centre of Chamonix.

The other areas of the valley – Les Houches, Les Grands Montets, Le Tour and Vallorcine  – Col de Balme, and of course the famous Vallée Blanche, accessed via the Aiguille du Midi cable car, can be easily reached with the ski buses or by car. The prestigious Swiss slopes of Verbier are only 60 km away and the Italian resort Courmayeur can be easily accessed via the Mont Blanc tunnel.

The stunning Chamonix Golf Club is less than one km away and offers 18 holes on one of the most beautiful alpine golf courses.

Mountain bike and hiking trails are within easy reach as well as great family fun in Le Paradis des Praz, which is only a 15 min stroll. Kids will love the streams, pony rides and the adventure playground.

Or why not have a walk up to the beautiful restaurant ‘la buvette du Chapeau’ at the Tête des Prapators? In summer you can see their luscious flower arrangements from the bedroom window, and you will get to enjoy the exceptional blueberry cake once you’ve made it up there.
